Jackie Lawson and Her Hillbilly Rockstars performed Saturday evening at the Terre Haute Air Fair as the opener for Craig Morgan to a record breaking crowd. Terre Haute International Airport authorities estimated the crowd to be around 8,000 in attendace for the two country music acts. The crowd gave newcomer Jackie Lawson a very excited welcome and a long line of fans waiting for autographs before Craig took the stage.

Jackie Lawson competed in the North America Country Music Association International's Music Week and Awards Show March 7-13 in Pigeon Forge, TN. NACMAI is an organization that seeks to promote the country/gospel music industries and the developing artists within these industries. NACMAI organizes local Country Music Associations throughout the United States, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Argentina. Entertainers qualify to attend this annual event by being nominated by their local state/foreign Country Music Associations. Awards are then given out to the top artists in various categories.
In October, the Illinois Country Music Association nominated Lawson for Female Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year (for "A Little Hope"), and Album of the Year (for "A Little Hope") for new/modern country. She was awarded Most Promising Female Entertainer of the Year, Most Promising Album of the Year, and Horizon Award Songwriter of the Year.

Jackie Lawson is set to perform as part of the opening act Sunday evening for country music stars Sugarland at Nashville North USA in Taylorville, IL. The show was suppose have taken place in September of 2005, but Hurricane Katrina relief efforts forced Sugarland to reschedule to February 26 at 7pm. Jackie will be performing four songs with house band TNT and the Dynamite Cowboys before Sugarland takes to the stage.

Charleston native Jackie Lawson will celebrate the release of her new CD single with a party at 7:30 pm Friday at Top of the Roc's. A country music singer, songwriter, and performer, Lawson's new CD single is titled "A Little Hope."

Jackie Lawson entertains patrons at the Indiana Theatre in Terre Haute, IN Thursday night for the American Red Cross Katrina relief concert sponsored by WTHI HI-99 radio station. Jackie performed several of her own songs during the benefit as well as various cover hits.

Jackie Lawson opened for country star and American Idol finalist Josh Gracin at Nashville North, USA in Taylorville, IL Saturday evening. Jackie performed four songs with the house band Northern Lights.
